Why am I in limp mode?

I have a abs error (waiting for a replacent ABS pump) and also this new "actuator module for turbocharger 1 stuck" error. Would either of these errors cause it to go into limp mode?
Also, the dash shows "service particulate filter" message. I tried doing a standing particulate filter regen from VCDS but it just fails and says "safety feature" test ended. Any advice?

Ok, so what are the odds it's the arm that goes into the turbo that's seized/broken versus the module being bad? And if it is the module Is it easier to takeoff just a module or do you have to take the whole turbo off to take the module off?

Mechanical part subject to lots of heat and temperature variation vs electronics in sealed environment?

I know which I think is most likely to be the cause.

Actually no it isn't because when the cars giving me the message service particulate system it could very well be from that or maybe both but how is one to know when it's not shown in the log of the scan?

Apparently we're not on the same page. I'm well aware that the car is in limp mode but this is not my car ,although I do need it right now to drive to work which is 150 miles away so it sure would be nice since I've already missed a week of work to narrow this down to the minimum needed to make it to work so I can resolve the rest of the issues there not Sitting at home with my finger in my ass doing nothing

Dont worry about odds right now. Do the job correctly and test it properly !! It still could be a broken wire !! No one knows - TEST TEST TEST and confirm !!

It is written into the software of your ECU and may also be in the SSP for your Engine Management. May also pop up in Odis GFF

Ignore the DPF fault and it wont be "Limp" Home - You will be walking Home !!

Take it s both - However you wont fix the DPF until the Turbo Fault is repaired

You wont go far with the DPF - The Glow Plug fault will need to be fixed before thinking about a DPF Regen

The minimum is the Turbo Fault, Glow Plug Fault and then Dpf - Then re Evaluate

Well I'm no electrical engineer but I'm pretty sure the problem is here with the power and ground. and if not can someone point me to which one the ground is and which one the positive is?

My next question is Does this motor work off of reverse polarity to move One Direction and then polarity the other
Have a look - Some do reverse Polarity using a "H Bridge" - Others Push against a Spring and the Spring Pushes back. Looking at your photo this is a Worm Drive so yes it will be a H Bridge Reversing Polarity. A worm gear will not / cannot push back autonomously.

The circular pcb with the tracks for sure is part of the Position Sensor

Being a Turbo Pressure fault we are now crossing into Pneumatic Science, bearing in mind the info you have from the fault code and looking at that PCB you have jumped Both Feet First into Electronic Engineering Computer Science designed, I guess by High Achieving Graduates !!

Vag did not design and build your car with a Sunday School Spotty faced talent !!

VCDS is not your enemy !! If you had a VW Phaeton and had the inclination to hide a dead body in the boot / trunk - It can verify the Nationality of that Corpse - Scary Shit Man !!
