I looked, 653 and 654, they look similar but the price difference is very noticeable.

Pin out, and the number of pins also differs, of course. 654 = 11pins, on one of the connectors.

Okay, so I guess we can assume the steering angle sensor is the g85 external type on the steering wheel column, I trust you guys more than the dealership.

I tried clearing all DTCs before coding the ABS. Can try doing it again. Is there perhaps another security access code I should use? 20103 is what I used when I tried.

I parked the car at the dealership that made all my problems in the first place today, and I have no idea when I will have it back. Not sure what they are going to try to do, but they mentioned they would take a look with ODIN.

They should go through the entire vehicle and the entire SVM with ODIS.

I tried getting help from the dealership, they had the car for a full day, could Find anything. I paid 4000 NOK for "you need a new abs central and new engine harness, cost 40.000 NOK and zero guarantee for it to help".

But I will call them and ask if they can provide it for me.

So the workshop that indused the faults didn't find anything with Odin. He said the abs central would not accept what they thought was the correct coding, and that it wasn't correct coded to the VIN, same conclusion as here.

I have another abs central i blew a he'll of a lot money on, but the code on that is something completely different, and it won't accept any new coding either. Part no. 6R0 614 517 BF

This was not a Skoda dealership, but a key programming specialist.

It was the workshop that coded my keys, but I'm guessing they retrieved the correct code and compared it with what is installed, with Odin. They did not share what codes they retrieved with me, or specify any more than what I wrote.

Conclusion was either way that the current ABS does not under any circumstances accept any code.

I've sendt an inquiry to two different skoda dealerships to supply me with what should be correct coding from factory, and what part.no abs central should be.

1. Extra Key gets programmed, dashboard lights up (TCS, TPMS, ESP red warning light) .
2. Two skoda workshops diagnose it two times each, but can't find any specific issue. One of them suggest to change engine harness and abs central. Doesn't give me any more info.
3. I try to change the abs central. Installed abs central, Part no. 6R0 614 517 BF, it has long code 4129481409B200B9824C12D790A700504B0A00
4. I couldn't code the "new" abs central at all, it didn't accept the code my abs central had from before (4129481489B300B7825012D991A700504B0800)
5. A workshop also tried coding the new abs, but could not do it.
6. I removed the "new" abs central and installed the original one, part.no 6R0 614 517 BK GNO, long code 4129481489B300B7825012D991A700504B0800
7. I ask for help here
8. Abs won't accept any of the codes mentioned here in this post
9. 44 - steering assist is changed from 2007 to 0003
10. Slip ring is changed from 6RA 959 653 to 6RA 959 653 A
11. Abs still won't accept any of the codes mentioned here in this post

Checked the coding 4129481489B300B7825012D991A700504B0800 according to the VIN number TMBET6NH1E4523977, it is valid.

The entered data is valid for the following control unit:
EV_Brake1ESPAEntryTRW

My suspicion is that an error has crept in somewhere (01, 17 or 25) in the VIN number.

Didn't get the car back as planned. BUT: It's back, and everything is fine again. The Key-tech figured it out.

So... The VIN (or CAR ID) in 17 - intstruments was "#=¤(%#=)_ØY"U*Q#¤, or somthing like that. He reprogrammed the instrument cluster with Odin and everything else was then OK. So, the ABS Long code was actually correct for this car: 4129481489B300B7825012D991A700504B0800.
