So, I have this Skoda Rapid 2014, 1.4TSI with 156.000 km on the clock. VIN TMBET6NH1E4523977.
For almost half a year I've been to four workshops and several hours of trying myself, I am on the verge of giving up this car, and my last resort is now you guys.
Short backstory:
A workshop coded a new extra key for me in february 2024, after the coding the dashboard lighted up and all security systems like ABS, TCS, TPMS ETC has stopped working. Some of the technicians I've talked to says it's not unlikely a low voltage has throwed of the calibration of the steering angle, but that should be an easy fix, it should not loose connection to the steering angle module. (I've also done the calibration of Steering Angle on other VAG cars myself with success).
So, latest workshop that looked at it claimed to have checked what he could (idk what that means) but he suspects the steering angle module has lost its coding completely.
A VW shop gave me a quote on changing the ABS central and a new wiring harness, this is almost guaranteed not going to help according to all other shops and technicians I've talked to.
What can I do here?
Is the steering angle module a part of the cars brain? Would I need a new ECU/brain for the car in order to reestablish the connectivity to the steering angle module? Or is this "module" based inside a part that can be changed? I've bought a new airbag rotary ring (identical part number) as according to my local Skoda dealer, the Steering angle sensor is built into this part. I tried swapping the ABS central, with no luck to the steering angle problem.
Full fault code readout is attached. I have some faults on the radio and cylinders misfiring, just ignore those for now.
