Hi,

When I open the long code helper in module 5F, I get a popup saying to contact support for additional information.
I'm have issues installing a Reverse Camera (highline).
Do you have any information on coding 5F, ideally the whole module but particularly Byte02, 16 and 19?

None of those have anything to do with a camera.
Coding information available in "Experimental", but that requires a current interface, not the 12 year old HEX+CAN you're using.

Camera input in this module might be configured in Adaptation, not Coding.
Check:
IDE05040-MAS04390 -- Video input status - Active source
One of the options is Rearview camera, but I'm not sure that's applicable to the high-line one.

Please do post a complete Auto-Scan for better context.

Thanks for the response, I'll check IDE05040-MAS04390 this morning and report back.

If the data can't be used by my interface could you provide a readable version that I can use to determine what may be stopping my camera from displaying an image when I go into reverse.

I haven't upgraded my interface as it still works with my cars and is supported by the latest s/w releases. Once its no longer supported, or I buy a newer car, or there is a generous trade in, then I'll upgrade.

Regarding my issue, the conflicting instructions I have, include coding of module 5F is part of the camera configuration (as well as adaptations):
eg:
Byte 19 disable RVC(low) and enable RVC (high)
Byte 16 hide parking sensor image (optional)
Byte 2 BAP disabled

@Uwe had to encrypt the information that his team at Ross-Tech worked hard to extract from the largely undocumented VAG modules as other companies were simply copying it without acknowledgement or payment, so I think you'll be very lucky indeed if he agrees to send you a readable version.

Don't know where you got this information, but they are wrong

Byte 2 is car derivate related and just a minor factor in case of RVC problems
Byte 16 is for Telepfone config only
Byte 19 is only for RVC low, for High don't activate it!

You have to code RVC high in #10 and Adaption of 5F

You are aware that software upgrades are free? And all of our software upgrades still support our oldest interfaces?

Only when a hardware upgrade is needed is there a cost to do so. Yes, there are newer interfaces available but you do not need to change the interface to benefit from bug fixes and data enhancements in the software.
