hey. I was wondering if this is something usable. I need to replace a battery on my Subaru. There are memory savers out there that use 9V battery via ODBII port. What I'm wondering. Will the HEX-v2 supply enough via USB port to ODBII to preserve the car memory?

Thanks

I've never tried anything like that, neither should you, please.

Can you explain why, please? I just don't want to buy a separate one. Does HEX-v2 not supply any voltage into ODBII?

No, the HEX-V2 does not supply power to the car at all. In fact, it consumes a small amount of power from the car (enough to power some of the transceivers that talk to the car).

Usb ports put out 5v, less than 1 amp. You would be better off with a hamster wheel and a hamster.
