I have a question, in the instructions of VCDS when you click transmission it gets you to the screen with coding and basic settings, when you press adaption, you will get the adaption screen.

I my case I can log in with 12345, I can do the coding, but the adaption button is greyed out.
Can anyone please explain why?

Thank you,
chris

P.S.
here is the Transmission in need to do the adaption:

A grayed-out function button is normally indicative of the control module in question not using/supporting that function. Not every control module supports every function. "Adaptations" of in that TCM look to be done via the Basic Settings function, just like a "Throttle Body Adaptation" (VW's terminology) is actually done via Basic Settings and why I've discouraged that particular phrase, preferring to use "Throttle Body Alignment" instead.

Uwe,

But when you replace the clutch, there is an adaption or adjustment process needed after the repair, similar as the 6speed AT.
I know, the problem might be on the manufacturers side, but any idea, how to do it?
