Hello everyone :
I'm in need of some help with a p0405 fault . My car is a 2012 Audi A3 tdi with a 2.0 cbea engine. I removed and cleaned the High pressure
EGR G212/N18 valve . erased the fault code , performed a reset and adaptation . drove approximately 30 mi. car sat all day , started it
and fault returned. Replaced valve with a salvaged valve from a 2012 VW Jetta TDI wagon . performed everything again . fault returned.
Reinstalled original valve no help fault returned . this past Thursday 09/12/2024 removed original valve , found and cleaned three different
ground points ( two on frame rail by left headlight and one in left plenum ) I had .3 ohms from pin 3 on G212 connector to ground .
reinstalled salvaged valve and performed a reset and adaptation of both the high pressure and low pressure valves , went for a 100 mi.
drive no issues . started car this morning fault returned . I hope someone can point me in the right direction . Also is sensor 1 the high pressure or low
pressure valve .
