In my 2021 Caddy and 2021 Ateca, this Byte 9 Bit is in the 0-1 range.

You have a rather different A5 module. 2Q0-980-653-C and MQB MFK 3.0 rather than the OP's 3Q0-980-654-S and MQB_B_MFK.
