Hello, I had installed a Golf R MFSW with buttons for cruise control only. Also replaced the airbag for the one round one that fits the R sterring whell and this is having the msfw harrnesc. The previos owner had replaced the CAN Gateway for a high one.
After the installation all the butons works corect including lights for the buttons, the problem is the horn now functions from both pressing I/0 on the cruise control left hand side of wheel and the airbag.
Is it possible to have a deffect airbag loom or incorent wiring ? Maybe i need to also replace the Steering Control Module, the car had no buttons on the wheel.

I can provide pictures and with the help of a friend a scan, but i did not change anything in vcds after the install. No errors on the dash also.

Much more important than pictures is that you post an Auto-Scan - provided your friend has a legal copy of English VCDS.

Code:
Removed. Data from a clone/pirate copy of VCDS is not acceptable in Ross-Tech's forum.

I have routed a repair wire from pin 5 to pin 46 ecu for my 1.6tdi 115 hp engine (also, I read about pin 56 for ccs).
I tried to activate cruise in the 01 engine, and when I press the ccs button on the steering wheel, I get an exclamation mark with the cruise control symbol on the dash, but the horn is still operated.

Sorry for that, ignore the errors with tiptronic i had been playing with something in adaptations. The only valid error is cruise control.
I understand that a swap code is required to activate the CCS but i am worried about the horn is operated from the airbag and alos from the CCS I/O button.

I totally agree with you; yes, it is still there and is not good. I followed the steps in this post, and we have the same error on Cruise, but mine also is trigering the horn, and I do not know why.

I can provide pictures and with the help of a friend a scan,
Get a better friend -- one who isn't a pirate -- because:

Getting help in Ross-Tech's forum requires the use of a legitimate VCDS system, not a clone/pirate copy.

They are available directly from us:
https://store.ross-tech.com/shop/cat/VCDS

... Or from any of our authorized resellers:
http://www.ross-tech.com/distributors.php

Let us know via PM if/when you get one so we can adjust your forum status.
