Impossible to know until you post an Auto-Scan using the English version of VCDS - as you have a 2024 model download and use the 24.8 beta version.

Gut feel is that is could need FeC, and also on a 2024 model you may have SFD or SFD2.

Drive can be selected using the Gear Lever ??

When i click on the gear level buttons, nothing happens. When i go through the screen, it all shows as grayed out, and when i click on it, it says currently its unavailable.

i think that it has something to do with the dealership not fully doing their job before it was shipped out to me overseas. Ill schedule an appointment at the dealership to have it all checked. in the meantime, i requested vehicle data sheet that lists the complete PR codes list for my VIN to see if its on there marked as 2H1, and not 2H0.

Can you please post an autoscan as requested here earlier. That will help us to see if there' any issues logged to any of the modules.

Could be 2 things :
1. Like PetrolDave wrote, the FeC is not there, means no drive select and not possible to retrofit unless dealer is able to sell the codes via aftersales
2. Like OP wrote, dealer has not done their job properly or has messed up something in initial preparation and SVM to BCM via online connection might fix this

So i tried to use the 24.8 beta version, but keep getting some errors and i dont know if its me using paralleles desktop on my mac to run windows 11 on it. but on auto-scan, it gives me an error on 01 module, i continue, it goes to module 09 and at 12% it hangs there for about 5-10 minutes and doesnt move (not sure if its supposed to take that long or longer).

However, i believe its an Audi fault because i reached out to AudiUSA and asked them to confirm that my car came configured with audi drive select (code 2H1). They came back that they cant send me the list of all the codes as its only available to the dealerships, but they could confirm that my car indeed came with drive select and they told me to go to the dealership for the fix.

as for my error codes or maybe i need to be more patient or wait for a new release of the software after beta to retry things!?!?

VCDS under VMs on Apple Macs is not officially supported, so sa Uwe says your best plan is to beg or borrow a Windows laptop.
