Hi I'm in the USA and have a 2015 Golf Sportwagen TDI S with the composition media head unit and wondering if I can force the media volume to remain the same after pressing the physical mute button or the on screen pause button. The system automatically resets to a default low-ish volume after pressing mute or pausing and I wish it wouldn't.

I don't have the original radio in my TDI S anymore... But is there a maximum volume on startup or something like that in the volume/sound menu? If possible that's the volume that the radio is coming back to after being muted.

I assume the setting is intended so that if you get out of the car with the music blasting it is not immediately blasting next time you get in. But it's easy enough to try and maybe we get lucky and it solves your issue.
