The IP address is reading 0.0.0.0 again and when I go through the Configure WiFi steps, it never picks up an I.P. address from my network. I've tried deleting the configuration and running it again, but the I.P. address stays at 0.0.0.0

What do I do?

Are you able to connect via AP Mode?

Did you configure the Wifi via the profile setup wizard, or Advanced Profile config?

Haven't tried AP as I was just going to update the firmware in the Hex-Net.

So, if I can get it to work via AP Mode, how do I update the firmware? The video seems to indicate that it can only be done in IP Mode.

You have to be in infrastructure mode so that it can get to the Ross-Tech server farm.

Where are you seeing the 0.0.0.0?
Is it here:

or here:

The first image is normal since it is in DHCP mode.

You may want to press/hold the button on HEX-NET for 45 seconds while it's powered on to reset the network profiles.
Correct me if I'm wrong here please Ross-Tech.

I would also try is using AP mode and configuring from [Options] -> [Network Options] and manually entering the network information via a browser.

This is connecting to your normal home network right, not a guest network etc ?

I don't freakin' believe this! Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday. I was getting the 0.0.0.0 in BOTH those places. I just now plugged the Hex-Net in, launched the WiFi Java app, and what do I see?

This:

SSID: Dennis's Wi-Fi Network
IP: 192.168.100.83
Security: WPA/WPA2
MAC: 00:1E:C0:0E: D9:75 (had to put in a space as the forum software converted the colonD as an emoticon)

Gremlins, I tell you, Gremlins!

So everything is copacetic again and I was able to update the firmware.

Oh, and yes, this was on my normal home network

Sorry, nothing we make is compatible with products of the old American Motors Corporation. :p

Then I would suggest there are any number of other cars that would be far more worthy of a TDI than a Gremlin.
