You really believe a dealer will disable something which is not yet known to be possible? I can’t see the service advisor pulling a laptop and start coding software in C++. But let us know?
Well they ought to know how that specific function works, is connected etc, and thus how to disable it either through coding or other means.

My opinion is that they do not know and they will never be able to get those details nor that they have access to the logic or that there’s interest to spend any minute on it.

Why? The dealer is not the designer, and the manufacturer only shares with the dealer information they need to carry out repairs and factory authorised modifications.

I have read somewhere that someone went to their dealer, with a new car, and the dealer kindly got a mechanic to disable the fake sound. Can't find the post, maybe on a different site.

Some dealers will unofficially do things not supported by the manufacturer, but many won't.

Name of the dealer please, so we can address a letter to them? Maybe they can share knowledge?

Honestly I just think fake engine sound should be a user choice and not something you are forced to accept or live with. I would have preferred the option to turn it off and then make my own decision on whether I like it or not.
