Hey Ross-Tech and fellow users.
I had a HEX-USB-CAN and was pretty knowledgeable about "tweaks" on the Golf A5 platform from my time with a Mk5 R32.
I used the same interface on an 8J TTRS, and things were largely similar (makes sense since I know the 8J is somewhat like a Mk6 Golf).
Ended up selling off that cable a long time ago, but I've been looking to pick up a Mk7.5 Golf R, so I bought a new HEX-NET Pro a while ago... and then found out my brother-in-law & his wife have fairly new VWs and were looking for "tweaks".
He has a 2023 Taos (AWD), she has a 2024 Tiguan "R" (AWD).
I believe the Taos is MQB-based, so maybe I can follow the Mk7 Golf playbook? I know nothing about the Tiguan...
The main tweak they both want is windows from keyfob (comfort open/close). I believe both cars will already go down by holding unlock, but they want to add roll-up by the lock button. I'm guessing this is possible... but from my brief time playing around with the Taos, I couldn't figure out how. Seems like it's no longer the "coding" menu that I'm used to from the Golf A5.
Can anybody point me to a "where to start" kind of thing for either of these cars? Again, I'm familiar with VCDS, but I just haven't done any "tweaks" on a car newer than 2012...
Back in the day i would've looked through vwvortex but I don't think it's very popular anymore...
