Hi all! I'm new on this forum. First of all I've bought a VCDS Basis kit from PCI-Tuning Germany. The cable is functioning perfectly. But I don't know if I can register it on the ross-tech form because the cable hasn't a short serial number. The software says the cable is original.

I have retrofitted on my Audi A1 steering wheel control. I hope this could be helpfull for You because I've found in the 5F the bit to change to enable the infotainment to recognise the controls.

xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx 02 xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx

-> 23

my 5F module was a 8x0 035 182. The coding worked also on a 8x0 035 193

Hope this could help.

The RMC and MIB1/MIB2 documentation is almost finished, you should see improvements on that through the next couple of updates to VCDS.

As for the serial number, check the yellow sticker on your interface - it should show the license number (AVT123456-ABC). You should be able to enter that one instead.
