Rules for this thread: Original pics only. State what device you took 'em with.

I'll start:

Device: Moto X Pure phone. I'm not that enamored with the camera in this thing. To be honest, I think the camera in my two year old Note 3 was better.

That brightest "star" is venus, taken at 6:24 this morning with iPhone 6S plus by itself, and looking through a 20X Alpine spotting scope.

As a reminder how far cell phone camera technology has come along, this picture of "Liberty Enlightening the World" was taken from a cruise ship in NY harbor back in 2007 with a Palm Treo:

Funny story. I used to keep my boat in a marina on the back side of Staten Island, and spent enough time touring NY harbor where I purposely left the real digital camera in our cabin for sail-away. Hence, the extremely poor cell phone image for this timing-sensitive photo op that I wasn't expecting..... :(

Galaxy S5 Active. Flash disabled so as to not disrupt the event, and night time plus fire didn't make for a great picture.

This is from my son's Boy Scout Troop holding a flag retirement ceremony last night. They accept them from local individuals and businesses that have flags to dispose of. They'll do 20 or 30 at a time every few months. It's a genuinely moving thing to watch... they take it very seriously.

Ross Mountain??? :) (You stripped the metadata, so I can't look at the GPS coordinates to give an exact location.) However, since the leaves up here in NY are already turning and they are green in your picture, my guess would be somewhere in the Blue Ridge area of Appalachians south of the Mason-Dixon line.....

To improve the view, yes, but it wouldn't have "such a view" as in the above photo.

Taken on 2009-04-19 with Canon EOS 5d spiegelreflexkamera ;-). The jet was at normal cruising altitude and speed for a commercial jet airliner (I guess!).

The same camera as above... and just an ordinary view from Capri island (Italy) - 2011-05-07 :-)

Wow! How long a telephoto lens did you have on it?

400mm with 2x extender (so, the actual focal length was 800mm).
