Dear all, need some help please....I've had my genuine micro can lead for years, its official and nothing has changed recently apart from the latest version of VCDS. I now cant code my RLHS and get an error 31 code not accepted notification. However when I try to do a complete scan it never completes and stalls on some control units which can vary! it always says 'cannot communicate' and when it does that address (say 09 central electrics for instance) just stipulates the address cannot be reached and kicks me off of the scan process, a pop up window appears and tells me to go into 'Options' then 'TEST' which I do and all is well.

I googled it and UWE came up with a suggestion but that I tried and didn't work (device manager and properties/power management on usb root devices etc). See post below, I have a very very similar sounding issue.

I'm on VCDS version 15.7.1, windows 8.1 64 and MK7 Golf GTi which I've had for over a year now. last time I completed a full scan was in August and it worked fine then, but that was on 15.7.0.1

I've also has warnings about not using a genuine licenced cable which this is! WTF? I have also reinstalled the programme but to no avail.....help :-(

What kind of computer? Does it have multiple USB ports? Are any of them USB 3?

I have the exact same issue after the 15.7.2 update.

However, I am running it on Mac thru parallels (Win7) - I have done that without a problem for over 3 years... till this update. It kept failing at Engine Module. Today it scanned engine, Auto Trans and ABS successfully before failing.

I am able to scan each module independently without a problem. Adaptations etc also works. Its just the auto scan that fails.

Ps: I know that virtualisation software is not supported... I am just placing the information out there. Maybe there is something more to it considering I have never had an issue till date even with virtualisation.

OK, so one person sees it on 15.7.1, and another on 15.7.2 - are they the same driver version Uwe across those builds?
