hi guys dose anyone know what happens to the j883. mine sweeps all the time but only gose to the zeros once in a while on 119.3 like dana mentions in post #12

dose anyone know on group 119 what are the four addresses. on .3 mine reeds 00000100. what dose 100 mean. i think dana had mentioned they should all read zeros

According to what I have found, the Measuring Value Block group [119] field's data are as follows:

Field (1) = J883 - Exhaust Pressure Control Valve - closed position
Field (2) = J883 - Exhaust Pressure Control Valve - open position
Field (3) = NO DOCUMENTATION - Best guess it has to do with the Basic Settings, error and learned values status, that is a guess - Need to ask the VW engineers
Field (4) = J883 - Exhaust Pressure Control Valve voltage, Range: Open 0.5...0.9v, Closed - 3.8v...4.5v

The J883 has to have the 5-volt reference voltage in order to have displayed the correct signal out as seen in MVB-119, field 4
