Welcome,
Is it possible to calibrate the speedometer data VCDS? To me it shows such as 70km / h when the real rate is ~ 95km / h. During VCDS speed sensor direct examination of the data, it shows everything well. In other words, I have the same problem with the speedometer. :banghead:

Audi A4 8D2, B5 1.9 TDI 1997, 81 KW, 110 PS

Thank you Uwe for adjustments

I'm a bit confused. In English, the instrument that shows vehicle speed, either in in km/h or miles/h is called the "speedometer", while the "tachometer" is the instrument that shows the engine speed in RPM.

I was pretty sure you were talking about the speedometer, but then you mentioned the "engine speed sensor" and got me thoroughly confused.

As for what is and isn't possible, please post an Auto-Scan so we can see exactly what instrument cluster you have and how it's configured.

Wow, an oldie from the 1990s. ;)

I don't see anything adjustable in that one.

The whole issue is a WCS. there's the code: 19411 (speedometer representative miles per hour). How do I change the code in 19111? (EU)

You are confusing WSC, which simply identifies the shop that last changed something like a coding or an adaptation with the coding itself.

Your coding is already EU: 00140

Instruments part no 8D0 919 910 E originally is graduated in mph. Your instruments have shield with instruments EU in km/h.
VCDS can not do anything here.
You must read eeprom in instruments and edit it with eeprom instruments EU.

Yep, that would explain it.

VCDS cannot disable an immobilizer. However, if you have correct PIN(s), it can match components.

Try this:

[17-instruments]
[Login] -> Use the Immo's PIN.
[Adaptation]
Channel 0
[Read]
[Save]
Turn ignition off.
Wait 60 seconds.
Turn ignition on, but do not try to start the engine.

In addition, you have to fix whatever is causing:

01176 - Key
07-00 - Signal too Low

In fact, you may have to do this first.

On your original cluster, where did the needle come to rest? If the faceplate was originally in MPH and someone has changed it to KPH; they may have just put the needle back in the wrong place?

Yes, I think the problem is here:
Code:
Address 17: Instruments Labels: 8D0-919-xxx-17.lbl

   Component: B5-KOMBIINSTR. VDO D09

   Component: IDENTNR: AUZ7Z0W0576734
   IMMO-IDENTNR: AUZ7Z0W0576734

2 Faults Found:
01176 - Key
            07-00 - Signal too Low
01179 - Incorrect Key Programming
            35-00 - -

And is not tied than one ignition key. And for me detachment.

This means the immobilizer (in the cluster) is not able to communicate with the transponder in the key. Could be a bad transponder in the key, could be a bad pickup coil at the ignition switch, could be a bad connection between the pickup coil and the cluster, or could be a problem with the cluster itself.

I think the problem is with the ignition key.I can no longer look for what is wrong, so I bought a VGA IMMO EMULATOR. I hope next year insidiegti and that more problems will not be.
