And I'm not referring to the ones flying around outside my in my hood vicinity at the moment.... I'm talking about those surrounding us in society.
Am I just way too old and grumpy and is this possibly why my tolerance is so low? Or do I just come from a time when we didn't fold at the first sign of failure\being wrong\getting corrected\etc?
Does everyone other than me just walk around on eggshells all day long, on forums, in personal life, at the office, etc?
My friends and I grew up "taking shots" at each other, being sarcastic, etc. and none of them have jumped off bridges or grown up to whine and moan at the first opportunity to "play some card".

Not me, I'm old enough to remember when it was not only acceptable but expected to correct someones spelling and grammatical errors, and to offer a different interpretation of data.

As an English Master said to me, the only thing R&D produce is paperwork that tells production what to make, how to make it and how to test it - so if that paperwork isn't clear and unambiguous then R&D has been a waste of money.

It's sometimes hard to get some emotion, sarcasm etc via the internet. But I do agree, people are very easily offended nowadays. Stay true to yourself. Snowflakes will filter out very easily. A comforting thought, may I say.

Not so much anymore. They've learned that if they stick around and yell really loudly, people in positions of authority will actually listen to them.

It's always been that way - if you shout loud people in power will listen and act, maybe just to limit any damage to their election prospects? (yes I am a cynic!).
