I went to change the glow plugs in my 2010 A6 4F 3.0tdi and first task of removing the plug/cap it explodes as the plastic is brittle. Part number for the cap is 07Z971782, but I can't seem to find reasonable priced replacement. Part number 4G0971782 seems to come up for about £35 each, and I'm hoping I won't need 6 of these. I'm sure I'm not the first person to have these break, so the question to the forum is do anyone know of a cheaper suitable repair part in the UK?

Uwe's Bar

There's a bar I used to hang out in that closed a while back and I miss it, so I decided to open my own. Come on in, grab a beer, light up a smoke (or fire up your vape) and tell me what's on your mind.

Fascinating choice of sub-forum to post in.
What method did you use to remove it?
