Vcds live data

Hi All.
Using vcds on a 56 plate sdi engine caddy, when viewing in mbv i could not find the group for the egr valve, or Glow plugs, Normally i have seen glow plug information such as voltage etc on other Vw caddy vans maybe later model year,, i could see a few groups showing duty cycle but
no name for the group shown just duty cycle, So you cant see how or where is Egr info to view, also any field box's i looked at to see if any balloon no image of a balloon was shown, is this all down to label files, No advanced mvb this was greyed out.

Also i logged injectors here is the log,, why are two showing -readings. and what does that represent, in mg/str are two of them struggling to get fuel.

It would be much easier to try to answer this if we complete ID data from the ECU rather than just its part number and values from a measuring block.

OK, but do you really think I should have to go digging for them? If you have one here somewhere, and you start a new thread to which it applies, management here would sincerely appreciate it if you would link to the post that contains the old Auto-Scan.

Anyway, as far as I can telll, no one has ever made a label file for that specific engine except our Danish distributor, and his is obviously in Danish, which I don't read very well at all.

Still extrapolating what's happening in Group 13 based on other, somewhat similar engines, is the ECU increasing or decreasing fuel on a cylinder-by-cylinder basis to smooth the idle. On cylinders 1 and 4 where the numbers are positive, it's adding a bit. On cylinders 2 and 3, it's taking away a bit.

Yes Uwe that is what i thought as neg on two of the 4, the reason i scanned the vehicle was in the mornings first start of the engine, i'm told it is a bit lumpy like the glow plugs are not all working, Then when scanned, although no mill light on, i had dtc for Egr N18, i changed the valve with another vehicle same pt numbers j0 etc except for the last 4 digits, no change in staring problem but as up to now no dtc for N18,, i checked the injectors, and you know the rest, not much else i could do without field box's info, only had a quick look at the vehicle will check it out when not so busy, any info mean while would be appreciated, also tested the glow plugs in the head all seem good, and took them out, visually look good, also regarding the injectors while at tick over rpm they look like 2 are getting less fuel as neg, also still happens as you hold the rpm higher, i could understand some engine when you lift off the throttle they switch off the injectors.

Hi all
Here is a scan of the Egr Valve etc information after the update by sebastian, The vcds info i have, there are two lots of Egr duty cycle info, Exhaust Gas Recirc. Duty Cycle group 041. of 95.6 % and group 003 of 5.6 % Exhaust Gas Recirc. Duty Cycle why is this, plus i have 19.1 % Position (Spec.) Intake Flap,, Is this the run on valve anti shudder, or the Egr valve itself opening Level.
