I can't seem to find engine speed in the drop down window. Can someone please tell me how. The path I am using 01eng, measuring values search for speed. I am able to find the load flap data but not engine speed. Thanks

Maybe you can advise me what may be causing my EPC light to stay on and also triggering the following codes: P034300 Camshaft position circ. high input, P201400 Intake manifold runner position sensor/switch circuit,P201600 Intake manifold position sensor switch low.I pulled off the intake manifold but could not find any overt problems except some missing insulation on the black wire connected to the knock sensor connector. I replaced the fuel injector o rings, cam position sensor, Intake manifold runner position sensor and new NGK spark plugs. Still no good.
Background: In Dec 22 because of EVAP issues I replaced the intake manifold (OEM), purge valve, breather/oil separator, rebuilt fuel injectors, air charge temp sensor, ignition coils, NGK spark plugs and did a manual carbon removal. After that, the car ran great until now.
Any help would be appreciated. I just bought the Ross Tech VCDS software and just starting to learn how to use it.

From what I am told there is a there is a parameter that is engine speed which is not the same as RPM. Someone on Audi world forms who is supposed to be an Audi SME told me that he needed that data and load flap values and he would take a look at it. See his message below.



For the load flaps, you need to go to control modules, 01-engine, adv. measuring values, search on load, checkmark the load flap values (actual, specified), search on speed, checkmark engine speed. Checkmark Group UDS. Then you can just look at them manually reving up the engine below/above 3000 rpm

Well there is a block called engine speed.
There are no "blocks" in your ECU, which uses the newer UDS protocol.

It looks to me as though VAG has changed the nomenclature associated with IDE00021 from "Engine Speed" to "Engine RPM" at some point. But another possibility is that the ASAM/ROD data for your "very similar engine" is different.

You’re not very far away from the truth there, Tony. Atmel took over the site, they managed to make a few more but unfortunately Wallsend was not an economically viable area for them.

Yep, the Geordie lass is a hardy bird, they can still manage to flutter from bar to bar in subzero temperatures in plumage that barely covers their modesty for a dance around their handbags. :D

So true. Freezing rain coming down sideways, micro mini skirt, halter top and no coat. Barely escaped from a Bar fight one night after a soccer game let out and I don't even watch soccer. Had a lot of fun with the people at the factory. Those were the days.:)

Given that the engine appears to have been running at that point, I'd say you have a problem with the camshaft sensor, or its wiring.

Hello Uwe:



I just replaced the Cam shaft sensor, still same problem. Is there a diagnostic in VCDS that I can run to further verify the issue. If it is the wire, do you know how I would check that? With your experience, have you seen that issue kick off the intake manifold runner DTC.
