Hey all, When I first acquired this car I had a city light out and a bulb out indicator on the dash. I replaced the bulb and still had the dash notification. I figured it was an issue with the cold diagnostic and I tried to disable it. I messed with Byte 18 and wrote this code (00010101) to the binary that's in this video, initially after I wrote the original byte 18 value back I noticed the reverse light was stuck on and the front DRL had blown the element. Now neither will function. But I did save the original long code and have wrote that back. But I still cannot get the front right DRL and left reverse light to function. Any tips on what I should do to fix this issue? TIA

So

Replace j519?

Yes,but only from a Car with exact Same Lights configuration! Or a New one ordered by your VIN.

Or restore the light config manualy with vcp Program or odis-e Program, then you can keep your BCM

So the CECM isn't actually electrically damaged?

I'm interested in this option, but I know nothing about it. Purchase Odis-E and it can reflash the module? Special cable required? Software come with cable?

I took a quick glance at your email and the factory condition Byte 18 coding of a NAR market 2010 JSW is: HEX 09 Lighting: VW Jetta Variant/Wagon (AJ5/VW362) North American Region (NAR)

That's one of the drop-down menu options in the Long Coding Helper.

Thanks for the reply, the chassis is actually a 2012 JSW. Same thing?

Hmm, the scan you sent us has a VIN ending in 9999.

Model jetta variant GOV
Date of production 15.02.2010
Year 2010
Sales type AJ539L
Engine Code CJAA
Transmission Code LHD

If that's not right and the coding doesn't fix it please post the real VIN here.

It's pulling VIN off of the ECU, it has been swapped to match the engine and manual trans that was swapped into this car that was once DSG.

3VWPL7AJ5CM637146 is the chassis.
