Hi!
Upfront, I'm a new-ish Hex Can 2 owner. I love the thing - wish I would have bought one years ago.
Car is a 2007 Touareg - Gas powered V6. I have it since 2007. It's been expensive to own and maintain, but I really don't mind. I'm fond of it and plan to keep it.
So as we can see from the scan below, Central Electric shows a short in the drivers side headlight. I've since found and fixed the short, but no surprise the insulation of the internal wiring is crumbling. I'd happily spring for 2 new headlights. Regrettably the Bi-Xenon adaptive headlight assemblies are NLA in the US. I've picked up a coupe of used headlights from ebay, however these have been scrap. Much worse than what I have.
I can get new Valeo 'right hand traffic' headlights from Europe. They are for the 3.0 Liter TDI. The VW part number is 7L6941017BG.
I can't imagine VW would build a separate headlight assembly for a single European model. So I"m hoping I'm hoping I'm looking at a simple reprogramming and re-aiming task, although a little rewiring would be ok.
Hopefully y'all can shed some light on the above.
