Out of my league, but monitoring. To create that resistance, could you just create one thus fooling the system.
I could but at this point after dicking around with that vehicle yesterday I was finally able to get the steering angle sensor to fail Which leads me to believe it was at it's limits or close to it when someone installed the previous rack. At this point in time I will source another steering angle sensor. It looks like It went to 818degrees lol. No worries I was showing a malfunction of that sensor regardless. I did also measure the length on the tie rods when the steering was centered. Eyeballed more or less but centered. Measuring showed an even amount on each side within an 1/8th of an inch or 3.18mm. So once new G85 is installed I will go from there. I could repair this one but it's not cost effective on this vehicle at this point in time.

Meant to update this sooner. New G85 was fitted not by me but someone else at the shop I was not able to verify whether it was done correctly of not. Needles to say after dicking around with this vehicle and telling them out of the gate that a new rack was needed, Instead owner and shop insisted that I dick around and make 1 rack out of 2 pretty fucked up steering racks. I insisted that it was a big waste of time but they were adamant on using what they had instead of spending 6 grand on a steering rack. Long story short. I was able to make 1 working rack , however the calibrations were not possible in the end. I told them to pay me for the time spent. Once I received payment I walked away. If the owner and shop isn't willing to trust the process than there is nothing to solve or accomplish. It was in my best interest to get back to my shop where productive work Is being done on a daily basis not dicking around with used parts of unknown origin and condition. It boggles my mind how people want to make a supercar out of junk. I wished them the best of luck. As of this writing the vehicle is up for sale because they cannot find anyone to make the repair nor are they willing to spend the funds to do it right. Moral of the story:

Don't buy a supercar and expect to make repairs on a honda civic budget. Pay to play, In the long run its cheaper to get a new part than to dick around with used garbage something I know very well yet many other shops out there refuse to accept.
