2004 Jetta TDI - Engine light - Code 00152 Right Windshield Wiper Module

HI, Im New to the forum, hopefully have this posted correctly. I recently obtained a 2004 Jetta TDI and have been going through various repairs / maint. Im getting a check Engine light and it appears to be from a 00152 code regarding the RH Windshield wiper control module. I havent noticed any issues with the wipers, they appear to be functioning properly. I clear the code but the Check engine light / fault reappears after 2 startups. The Ross WIKI doesnt list this code but it comes up in the scan. The car only has one motor driving both wipers so it seems strange the fault indicates a right wiper motor / module. Any help would be apprieciated, with the wipers working fine Im stumped and also wonder if the error code is legit. I recently put in an aftermarket lock module which appears to work fine but may be giving the lock fault but I dont think that is causing the engine light and will probably disrgard it and the radio antenna fault for now.

Dafuq? This car has no Windshield Wiper Motor Control Module, nor does this ECU have any business throwing that code. I mean, the text is correct for 00152, but the ECU shouldn't be producing it.

Is this ECU "chipped"?

Hi Uwe, Thanks for the quick reply. As far as I know the ECU is original and never been chipped. I have had a few other codes come up that I was able to correct. The latest were for a faulty Side airbag sensor and another for glow plug connections. Replaing the airbag sensor under the seat solved one and some cleaning at the glow plug harness solved the other. Then out of the blue comes the 00152.

Just to close this out - I tried a generic generic OB2 code reader and no codes found - it could clear the engine light but it came back after one start. I pulled and cleaned the ECU contacts - no joy. After a few trys I was able to duplicate a key and get a new fob working. At some point I pulled the codes again and the 00152 was gone but the glow plug code came back. Im not sure at what point this happened since I had been cycling a few times to get the immobolizer to update. After a few cleaning of the GP harness the codes are all clear - at least for now. I have a new GP harness on the way. I suspect there is or was something with the GP codes or harness that might have been somehow reading out as a wiper module but speculation on my part. I did previouly come across a thread that someone was seeing these 2 codes but couldnt find it again.
