So you will see in 09 Central Electronics there is an error relating to the remote control. I tried to clone the original remote key (which was working perfectly fine)with one from Xhorse. However after copying the the data over as soon as I tested the new remote this triggered the alarm and ever since the original remote hasn't worked except car starts normally and still works on the keyless entry just no remote. If I need to get into adaptations can anyone help with the security code as there is no balloon suggestion unfortunately. Any help or advice gratefully received. Ultimately I would like to add the second remote. Thank you Adam

That's not good. Since you have a KESSY new keys are sold with the entire flip key and the remotes are matched during the new vehicle key Immo matching process. More on that can be located here:

.. but that isn't something you can correct using VCDS.

If you do not have an independent repair shop or mobile tech with ODIS in the area it may need to go to the dealer. In that case, you may want to order one new key based on VIN ahead of time so the car will have at least 2 functional OEM keys in the end. Bonus if they get the Xhorse one working.

to do a clone key /remote - yoy should understand first your current key
clone remote only work if you have fix code
if you have rolling code - you clone only one code , and let say like that - it will work only one timne.

Thanks for the speedy reply. That's a shame so there is no way to undo this in VCDS because we don't know the security code? I don't want to risk deleting factory data in case we really get stuck. I've made a key with immobilser no problem its just the remote locking unlocking keyless entry works fine.

2013 is probably immo4 or better. If you cloned a key I would think factory key should still work as all you did is make another copy. I would have to check later but it should be working if you ask me. Note immo and remote are 2 separate operations.
