I replaced the slip ring on a 2016 Tiguan S with a factory new VW slip ring. I am unable to get the angle sensor to work. When trying to follow the procedure in VCDS to zero the angle sensor in ABS Basic settings I get an error in the box after selecting go. Any ideas what I could be doing wrong? I am using the latest version of VCDS.

Let's start with some basics:

Take a look at MVB 004.1 in the ABS. With front wheels pointed straight ahead and steering wheel centered, what do do you see there? When turning the steering wheel a bit to the to the left and to the right what happens to that value?

Also check it in 16-Steering wheel, but since this is a UDS module, you will have to use Advanced Measuring Values to look at:

Actually I was able to figure this out!

In the ABS module while I could not go to block 60 I found in the drop down menu the command to set the steering angle.

I would post a picture but dont seem to be able to figure out how to do this.

I fixed the issue hence the reason I posted the picture of how I set G85. I can still post the results if needed for info but I was able to figure it out and the car is running properly now. The VCDS system has saved me way more than I paid for it having 3 VWs.
