Hi all,

I have had the spare key stolen for a 2011 Tiguan (type 5N). I have followed the usual procedure for removing all keys and matching the remaining key again in central conv. module, but of course this only deals with the remote lock/unlock/comfort operations.

Am I right in saying that I cannot dis-associate the stolen key from the immobiliser module and that this can only be done by the dealer? I read about the SKC and 4/5 digit pin codes but I do not believe I have any of these.

Thank you.

Correct. VCDS cannot do this on that car, even with "security codes". It's a challenge/response mechanism now, and the algorithm needed to compute the response from the challenge isn't in the dealers' tools, it's only on VW's servers, so it can only be done on-line.
