Hello everyone,
I am new to the forum, I don't know if this is the correct way of doing the presentations but, I am a happy owner of a golf VI TSI 160HP.
And recently I had to replace the magnetic clutch for my supercharger since I had the DTC P10AD & P2262.

So I replaced thz magnetic clutch but when I wanted to perform the basic setting for the clutch adaptation, I figured out that I don't have any choice list as on the UDS protocol cars, and rather than that I have to enter manually the group N° on the basic setting page to trigger the adaptation process...
Unfortunately I don't know the group N° for the magnetic clutch adaptation...

Ca anyone help me please? My car is sleeping in the garage for more than 2 months.

Thank you very much for your time and assistance.

Aymane.

Please post an Auto-Scan so people can see exactly what ECU is in your car.

What I want to do i exactly to launch the Basic setting : "IDE03452- Magnetic Clutch Adaptation" (available on UDS protocol vehicles, on a CAN Protocol vehicle.
Thank you very much in advance for your help Guys.

What basic settings do you want to run on a supercharger, whose magnetic clutch's electrical connection is disconnected? Just make sure the ECU can actually actuate the magnetic clutch and the supercharger will work.

I am willing to replace the magnetic clutch for the supercharger, since the clutch is worn out (hence the disconnection error code) but after replacement I need to do the magnetic clutch adaptation for the new clutch.
The problem is that I cannot find how to do it, since all the tutorials on the Internet are showing people who has cars with UDS protocoles and the only thing they do is chose from a choice list the '' Ide03452 magnetic clutch adaptation'' and launch it.

I my case I don't have the UDS protocole, I have a CAN protocole, and apparently the VCDS windows are not the same..
Ca you help me perform this adaptation please?

Thank you

You don't understand - the ECU is telling you there is no electrical connection to make the supercharger clutch work. There is no adaptation in the world to fix a broken electrical connection. I have driven another VW vehicle with 1.4 TSI Twincharger for almost 7 years and there is no adaptation for the supercharger clutch - supercharger clutch is either ON or OFF.

I'm curious. Did you ever figure out which group number will enable the Magnetic clutch adaption? I'm in the exact same situation after just replacing the water pump. I've had to temporarily remove the fuse for the magnetic clutch to be able to drive anywhere. I don't understand why commonly used settings has to be hidden in secret part of the software. It should be common knowledge instead of a mysterious episode of Escape Room

This thread is in the hall of shame. The original poster wasn't able to provide any data with a genuine VCDS system (using a clone cable with stolen software). It's unlikely you get any answers here

You should start your own topic in the "New user forum" section, and include an auto scan, made with a genuine VCDS system.

I might just give up searching for a missing menus in VCDS and let my local garage use their more specialized ODIS system to do it. I regret going for VCDS. It's not good enough. For simple tasks Delphi is even better

You were already given the correct answer. Make a new thread in the New User section (or even better, get verified and then post in the Car Repair Support section!), including a full/unedited auto scan of your car, and someone on this forum will be able to help you further.

You won't get any answers in this particular section because this is where pirates' and thieves' threads go to die.

Yah, it sucks when cloned copies aren't complete or not completely functional! A bit ironic isn't it!
