A8 led matrix

Hi. I've done this retrofit and have issue with matrix basic setting. Anyone know how to make this basic settings with VCDS? I send car to dealer but they couldn't do it also. Also I have dtc about no comunication between gateway and adress 55. I connect module to can extended as in Elsa wiring. Any help is welcome. Thank you.

ok so:full led headlight are without can,you have conected pin 1 and 2(can low,can high)from headlights to j745 range control unit to pin t26a/4 and t26a/5,when you must connect external can, from range control unit j745 t26a/2 ant t26a/3 to connection 3 in main wiring harness or to TV1/TV2(wiring junciotn for can).i think you have done this already yes?

know problems can be in gateway wiring,have you check it?gateway j533 must be conected to tv1/tv2.so from j533(gateway) t32f/2 and t32f/18 must be conected to tv1/tv2 t46/19L and t46/19h,have you check it?

Hi. Wiring is ok, I dont know why gateway and 09 bcm say that can't comunicate with adress 55, even if I can make diag on adress 55.
Do you know procedure for making basic setting for matrix module? VCDS ask for 1 to 3 digit number in matrix basic setting menu.

There was a changeover in 2013 on how the A8 headlights were wired. The changeover was between August and September of 2013. I have a question about the range control module (J745) you have in your vehicle. The module for the LED matrix is different than the one for standard LED headlights, however LED headlights on an A8 manufactured up to August 2013 did not use one. Did you have a range and cornering control module in your car before your retrofit?

You need to clear up the communication issue with 55 before you can do the basic settings. Work on fixing the communication error first.

Mrclopec you are right, original headlight were drivin by BCM on LIN-bus. Control unit 55 I installed is from a working car, do you know other way to register in gateway except in instalation list? Maybe I need to change gateway?

maniken Wiring is ok, can extended exist on car because other control unit are connected to that bus and they comunicate with gteway, only my control unit on adress 55 is not able to comunicate with gateway.But as before, I can make diag on adress 55 with no problem, so wiring and gateway should be ok.

Look in your 09-Central Elec...The error code there is it cant communicate with 55-Headlight Range (J431). You have a J745 now. I suspect your 09-Central Elec. Needs to be coded differently as it is looking for a headlight range module for Non-Matrix headlights.

Many of the modules in the vehicle talk to each other. If you have a communication error in one, it may show up in others as well. I suspect your communication error is with the system looking for a J431 when you have a J745. This is supported by the fact that you can communicate and read the 55 with you cable, but the rest of the system is having a hard time talking to it. This is just a theory...but its where I would start first.

Mrclopec error on BCM appear after I code BCM similar to a car that had matrix led from factory. With original codding , BCM search for LIN slave's. In cangateway didn't find way to distinquish between j431 and j745, only checkbox for adress 55 in instalation list.

maniken I think it's a real matrix, if you see in scan I've posted there are 2 subsystem for each side. 7PP 941 472 G and 4H0 941 329 A.
I found in adaptation option to enable matrix led for showroom purpose. When I set to active, led's for high beam are working.

I tried bouth codding on 55, but gateway still gives dtc about no com with mxb unit. From a friend from dealer I understend that you need to confirm the instalation list, somekind of activation. Do you know something about this? Tried all menu in vcds but can't find anything. Maybe cangateway with index AC doesn't have support for j745?
About subsystem i think they should work. If i set to active showroom mode, led from main beam are working.
