Hi Team new to this and looking to run tests on my car which is a 2001 Audi AWP and the proto call KW1281 What to be able to reset throttle body and check fuel pump and injectors
what do I run with VCDS
I found this in a pervious post hope that we can do the above
Since that ECU uses the oldest of the VAG diagnostic protocols (KW1281), it only supports Sequential output tests. That means there's a sequence of tests programmed in the ECU and all VCDS (or any other scan tool) can do is to request the ECU to start that sequence, and once started, request the next test in the sequence. The ECU will send back a numeric code with each step in the sequence that VCDS will interpret to tell you what output is currently activated. There's no way to tell from a distance to know whether a particular output (such as the drivers side radiator fan) is part of that sequence. Note also that ECUs will often refuse to run the output test sequence more than once in a single key cycle.
As for label files and readiness scripts, I would imagine that an existing one can be adapted. I'll ask @Dana to take a look.
