Audi A4 B5 speedometer illumination change

I am new on here, i have a 1998 Audi A4 avant 19TDI 110 BHP AFN engine and i was wondering if it was possible to change when my speedometer lights up ? at the monent it lights up when i put the ingintion on but iwould like to change it so that it only lights up when i put my lights on, does anyone on here know if it can be done and if it can then how to do it please ? I don't recall there being a tweak for that in the B5/8D, but don't take that as the final word on the subject. If someone does know of a way to do that, by all means post it.
