In my line of work (Railway Signalling) we have trackside datalinks which are very similar to CAN, over 20 miles long with 100 ohm line termination resistors at each end.

And locks when yellow wire is "shorted" via 770 ohm resistor to ground.
The fact you can both lock and unlock by key from driver's door suggests everything is good from BCM to locks?? The same with VCDS output tests?
The locks are driven from BCM pin T73a/11 and T73a/15 only (no chassis ground involved). The polarity is reversed between locking and unlocking functions (no chassis ground involved).

This proves the BCM "sees" all the states of the switch correctly.Next operate central loking to unlock & it shows unlock in field 4
we have all 3 states non oper - unlock - lock
The rear Door ( Lid ) switch is broke i have tried it with the wires open and twisted together to imitate the switch. 2 wires.The fields in group 006 indicate the following conditions
006-1 Bonnet contact 006-2 Tailgate/barn door status: Fully open 006-3 Tailgate/barn door status: Door ajar, at first latch 006-4 Status of Unlock/Lock Switch in Driver door
Far fetched but is it possible that you can't lock the van simply because you have bonnet and/or rear door open??
However, T6 locks just fine even there are hatches open - never played these with T5.1

Hi as #119 & quote here,, Thanks for the MVB listing it helped a lot to see the status of the Groups, i changed a few things today all at once the Door Card Harness the rear Lid lock assembly & the micro switch on the Rear lid handle, although with the bonnet closed 1) it showed closed, the Rear Lid closed 2) & Rear Lid ajar at first latch 3) & 4 lock when activated, The rear lid lock was a bit iffy to get it to show closed unless you gave it a good slam, so its been changed to genuine Vw as a After market one was fitted.Hi yes except Unlock is T73a/12 Not 15, 15 is output for doors contact switch etc strip. At least it seems the Bcm is good, it should be as a new item.

You have tailgate? (=not barn doors).It now locks by the Central locking switch, But as soon as it locks, it then Unlocks, But No action on the Rear Lid Lock actuator. like no power.

Bits 4&5 define tailgate's lock type and functionality (e.g. electric tailgate vs. manual, barn doors vs. tailgate)
After looking into this I have some suggestions:
1) I initially suggested 01-Engine coding of 0111401A232401080000 but after realizing this is 9M0 Without auxiliary heater/parking heater I tweaked that. Go with this as a starting point instead:

2) Starting point for 19-CAN Gateway coding: 042300
3) Starting points for 61-Battery Regul coding include one of these versions. Please try them in this order if the 1st doesn't allow you to clear 01044 - Control Module Incorrectly Coded:

4) Address 09-Cent. Elect is going to require some digging followed by trial and error. I honestly would leave that alone for now but these were the closest RHD strings I found:

I would consider those extremely experimental at best if you were to use those without breaking down each Byte.
5) Final closing comments. This van was factory equipped with a RCD of some sort (likely RCD-210) and the Radio they have installed looks like a Chinese market part number. If coding addresses 01, 19 and 61 followed by clearing ALL DTCs doesn't resolve most of the issues I would pull that radio out and keep it out until the major concerns such as the missing/offline Steering Angle HVAC and Airbag units are back online and communicating.
Please post the Auto-Scan after the above suggestions so we can see if there was any measurable progress.

After looking into this I have some suggestions:
1) I initially suggested 01-Engine coding of 0111401A232401080000 but after realizing this is 9M0 Without auxiliary heater/parking heater I tweaked that. Go with this as a starting point instead:

2) Starting point for 19-CAN Gateway coding: 042300
3) Starting points for 61-Battery Regul coding include one of these versions. Please try them in this order if the 1st doesn't allow you to clear 01044 - Control Module Incorrectly Coded:

230B1A73
4) Address 09-Cent. Elect is going to require some digging followed by trial and error. I honestly would leave that alone for now but these were the closest RHD strings I found:

I would consider those extremely experimental at best if you were to use those without breaking down each Byte.
5) Final closing comments. This van was factory equipped with a RCD of some sort (likely RCD-210) and the Radio they have installed looks like a Chinese market part number. If coding addresses 01, 19 and 61 followed by clearing ALL DTCs doesn't resolve most of the issues I would pull that radio out and keep it out until the major concerns such as the missing/offline Steering Angle HVAC and Airbag units are back online and communicating.
Please post the Auto-Scan after the above suggestions so we can see if there was any measurable progress.

All (almost 100) scans of T5.1 (MY10-MY15) diesel engines in my collection are identical for this one - engine - byte 4 - value 23 = only 1 fan installed, only 1 electric water pump installed.Engine 01 Bit 4 (23) 031 continously Fan installed
Based on the scans the byte 3 is "00" only for vans without AC. Vans with any AC (Climatic and Climatronic) have identical codings. Thus I believe the current coding is correct.the same coding for Air con it is set for Bit 3 1A (02 Bidirectional Climate Control climatic installed
