Why leave out the VIN (none GDPR data) and leave the reg which is personal data? The VIN to help the others is WVWZZZ9CZYM649353

You need a new ABS unit which I get as being VAG part number 8N0 698 517 but these are now obsolete from VAG UK but usefully it also fits the A3 and TT.

Sometimes they can be repaired but the only company I trust is AC Tronics and even they let me down on a Mk20 pump a few months back, charging me £50 for the privilege of telling me they could not repair it when I had sent it to them because they said they could! Also ACT only deal with the trade.

My Touran has an ABS module that may need repair, do you know about ECU Testing Ltd in the UK? Are they reputable?

ECU testing are about 3 miles from where I am sitting… in the local area they are notorious and I would rather send and ECU to Mars than them, utter charlatans.

Oh dear...good I asked you people in this forum! Many thanks for your support. Who then is reputable? I have read about BB Reman? However, I just read posts on BB Reman in the USA with news about legal problems and complaints? Where can we get proper repair work for an ABS module?

BBA in the UK did some good work but expanded too quickly and suffered but they have done some good work for me.

I see, what work turned out good? ON what type of controller? Most importantly, do they honor their promise of doing a good job by admitting need to rework if needed?

The local VW dealer is quoting me usd 2,300 to install a new ABS Module...ouch! that is why i am looking for a lower cost option to repair

What , are you kidding ? Those are under 100 bucks around here , albeit they are most for the LHD cars( perhaps they could be coded for RHD or it might not matter ) but they cannot exceed maybe 200 pounds in UK at a wrecker ..

This is on a romanian wrecker site where all wreckers post their wares , warranty and refund guaranteed. You need to be a registered member to buy and sell and i am happy to announce that i am one buyer with a perfect 100 % satisfaction rating ( given and received ) and 25 stars ( perfect score ) :). However , the prices are in romanian Lei or RON , you can do the parity . So , you need to look ip the part number and find a wrecker site in or near your country.

I doubt there are very many VWs in the Philippines, which means used parts will be difficult to find there.
