I just started using my newly acquired Ross-Tech scanner. I am delighted at how extensive the data is! Does anyone here have personal experience with figuring out the meaning of the ff scan result?
Meantime, the ff lights are lit up always on: ABS, Steering angle, Traction Control
The TPMS sensor is blinking.
1) My initial impression is my right rear wheel ABS sensor isn't sending data, i need to check on the cable connections and the sensor itself, maybe do a swap from left and right rear wheel? Will the sensors fit? I have a screenshot of data from the live data showing that right rear speed sensor data is ZERO, not showing the speed while running, but I don't know how to share a picture here.
2) The data also shows a fault code pointing at the ABS module...do I take this seriously a forsee that I need to send out the ABS module for repair?
The local VW dealer shop not surprisingly recommended a new ABS module be installed at a cost of approx USD 2,100...yikes! So given my past 10 year experience fixing our old Opel using OP-Com, I decided I better verify using VCDS.
