Lambda response too slow, MK5 GTI

Hey all, so I bought my girlfriend a Golf mk5 GTI, it's getting bad fuel consumption, shoots little flames, getting code for Lambda B1 S1 - response too slow. It has no catalytic converter, check engine light is on. I changed the lambda sensor before the cat and no difference. Maybe there's something I can do or try out? Thanks.

So you removed the catalytic converter and now it's complaining about lambda sensors?

Post a scan to start with please.

Figured out the issue, lambda was bad, 0.45v and wasn't changing at all, unpluged and showed 1.50v, will change the lambda and will see if it fixes it
