I installed a front camera on my B8 and I have an error on the camera and I can't figure it out!

I kept looking and it seems to be related to the ACC sensor.

The wiring I installed was taken from Aliexpress and did not come with a cable to the ACC sensor, so I connected 2 UTP wires from pin 1 and 8 of the camera to pins 5 and 6 of the ACC according to the wiring diagram.

Moreover, if I activate module 13 (ACC) byte 3 bit 6 (front camera), I have two errors there:

Did you code front assist camera to your radar? And radar to your camera?

And did you connect the sensor fusion can? There's a another CAN twisted pair that goes between ACC and camera.

I dont know how to connect the sensor fusion can.

Which other car? If not Passat B8, it will need parameterization with Passat B8 dataset.

It was a Skoda Octavia.
But I was able to modify Byte1 Bit 1 with VW Passat value: 00 04 08 02
I have ODIS and I was able to perform calibration too.

If there'S no direct CAN connection between ACC and A5, only A5 should have active ACC coding. In ACC, TSR and Camera shouldn't be active in coding!

It's not about coding and calibration; some modules, including this one, have to be loaded with a parameter file that contains information about the vehicle type - and since a Passat B8 is not the same as an Octavia that parameter file will be wrong.

Are you really sure? On MQB vehicles, there is a direct CAN connection between ACC and A5 camera - it's called "Sensor Fusion" IIRC. Both have their usual connections to Extended CAN too.

I think you missed the IF

It is possible to install ACC and front camera and leave sensor fusion not connected but as AINils wrote, then you cannot code camera in ACC nor ACC in camera. You’ll get an error.

Of course it is not wise to leave the sensor fusion out because it will then also decrease the range the front assist reacts.

This connection isn't by default in MQB. Also this is retrofit, so if he didn't connect this additional connection ACC not need to code to have TSR and Fron Camera.
Done A5 Retrofit in my Golf MK7.5, had to set 2 additional CAN from ACC to A5.

Did you remove the radar coding from the A5 module? There's a coding bit called "Radar interface", disable that.

Good. But remember that you are still missing the sensor fusion. I would connect the can wires between ACC and camera.
