Hi, I'm needing help regarding a 2009 1.6 cayc manual golf engine wiring loom, This is whats left of the sticker on the loom i believe its a 03L972619AB however vw no longer produce this part number. Has anyone come across a solution maybe a different variant will work or has the part number been superseded? Thanks
Edit: Vin is WVWZZZ1KZAW224035

BUT the part number for a new loom is 03L 972 619 A and costs a not unreasonable £377.48 IF they can get one because of Putin and his monsters.

Your post got me rechecking. AB/AL are for CJAA engine. For a manual CAYC, suffix A is correct.

it's not CYAC but CAYC which may make your life a bit more efficient when looking for wiring looms
i can see some used looms for under 100 euros ex shipping

I didn't notice the error in the engine code, I just used the VIN.

Guess your saying still goes - I too didn't notice the mistake and immediately took it as "CAYC" because "CYAC" anyway isn't plausible for this time period of VW vehicles.

Just noticed the mistake in the engine code Ugh... Anyways not able to find any 03L972619A looms anywhere so any suggestions on part numbers that could work? Im seeing lots of 03L972619BA but not sure if this would work or not. Thanks. Should also note that my local vw dealer said the loom has been on backorder for months with no lead time as to when its available to order.

Its been damp so the sticker peeled off. The loom is cracked and copper exposed and has intermittent issues with injectors 3&4 and the sensor for the top of the turbo. When you move the loom about the faults come and go. I must note that all the injectors have been replaced/coded in so they are not at fault here. The loom is the only thing i can think off. Worst case will need to removed the loom and open it up.

i'd open that loom and fix it. The wires for the injector are pretty thick and twisted together..i rarely see injector wires broken ..but nevertheless somewhere there is a problem in your loom. Cut, solder, mend !

Some would say some of your plugs are in the wrong slots... :D

One that has caught people out is BDK and BKD, both 2L PD and used in the Golf 5.
