All,
Thanks is advance for any advice in this and i apologize if . My Q5 has 60k on the clock. Has been flawless up til this point but as the Temps dropped this year my wife noted that the heat has been nonexistant.
I Ran VCDS it and found zero faults on the engine and auto HVAC.
However when I bring up advanced measuring values I have something interesting IDE 00194 coolant temperature at Radiator out put specified value: - 48C
That seems really odd to me.
The IDE 00194 coolant temperature at Engine output read 98.2 C
In addition and likely the actual reason for the lack of heating is the heater core isolation valve located under the cowl at the fire wall is electronically controlled and read no voltage and was closed.
This isolation valve has the coolant inlet and outlet. One side was hot and the other cold.
I'm wondering if there is a connection between a low temp being read or specified and the valve being closed even when the heating system on the interior is calling for over 80 degrees F
Thoughts?
Thanks in advance
