I believe this is N233 that needs replacement

Also would this prevent me doing basic setting Dsg 6 speed

Followed the steps verbatim and I here tranny noise like how you supposed to hear but basic setting never turns ON it stays off I let go for 30 min and nothing ! I assume because N233 is open it’s not allowing the basic setting to run its course

just posted scan was trying to perform basic setting before replacing the Solenoids I have borg warner replacements sitting on the table fluid etc
but I was researching sometimes a basic setting can cure somethings basically when I turn on car in morning to move everything is fine until i switch to drive and it drives to in first then it will go neutral and then goes into 2nd only limp mode

from the DSG6 I been reading on how it works ...but what I read is that the N233 "5" failing hence only 2nd gear
P2711 code is triggered because of 1st gear disengaging and going into limp mode aka 2nd gear only
my assumption i could be way off

FIXED:

N233 wire broke on selonoid
Replaced all selonoids since I was already there
Basic setting was able to be completed

Overall easy as cake

I got OEM on eBay new, you can find some pullouts on eBay you can also go to junk yard as well I have all spares from a tranny at the junk yard for cheap because it’s hard to find new ones honestly , besides the Chinese ones

Used all hand tools and hardest thing is just removing pan in tight space

What issues you having

Mines started here and there that got worse

This what happen to the solenoid which I can or could of just repaired but yea

May be having the same issue. Where did you get the solenoids?
Also basic settings won’t complete if solenoid wire broke so you can start with basic setting test to see if it can be done you can also rest tcu by holding the brake over 10 sec if those 2 things don’t work then def a solenoid issue and single out which solenoid it is based on codes and what symptoms are since there’s 2 circuits for the 2 clutches

What are your symptoms ?
