A OCF to set the dashboards time for the Dashboard to match the Windows host would be a nice, little helper

Agreed, but the mechanism for setting the car time is probably not consistent between models and years, indeed there may not even be a function in the VAG diagnostic API of the instruments/infotainment that allows the time to be set.
