MGN is not suitable for you - that's a pre-05.2011 DQ200 box. Those I listed previously are suitable.

But if you reaaaaaly want to make it work, then you will also have to change the flywheel to older type. Otherwise a suitable box with correct clutch pack and appropriate to the box mechatronic are the way to go.

Also probably a waste of money having a dealer try to update software on a mechatronic which doesn't belong to that car originally.
Thanks so much for the help, already found a NTT box and order it.

Is there some site I can visit to look up witch tranny is suitable for different cars?
I actually have to other cars at my garage with a bit of same issue, maybe I have put in wrong boxes in these too :/

Looks like my previous dq200 box changes have been pure luck!

Most of this will be listed on the VW parts catalogue etka or the partslink catalogue.

Very likely. LWZ is used for the 1.4 TSI CAXA and a MY2012 vehicle should have either NBA, NQK or NTZ.

Sure. Even I have one and can't complain of the combo.

Oh yeah, plenty of euro spec models: the higher power (103 KW+) Golf 1.4 TSI and it's "offspring", like the Touran and Audi/Skoda/Seat models on the PQ35 platform. Some lesser powered versions were only turbocharged... but they still had the timing chain issues but a bit less of the piston meltdowns.

What was it, four times Engine International engine of the year overall and one year top of its class... FFS! It is bit like the COTY awards, never buy the winner... I mean, Nissan Leaf! what a pile of shit that turned out to be!
