Hi all, I'm a new user and please to meet all.

My problem is I run VCDS Lite Auto Scan with 1J setting and it seem to go fine to start, then after so many popup windows I get something strange, the window pop's up and the info is not displayed right it keep trying the process and gets stuck in a loop so I canceled it and then closed the app.

My Vehicle is a Volkswagen Golf mark 4 2004 1.8 turbo 6 speed manual, AUQ Engine, 5 Door, Electric windows, Air con.

Thanks in advance for the help:)

Not sure, It was some way in. I stopped it as I was not sure if it was going to do any damage to the ECU. if its safe will do again and try to give you the report?

I've only had the car a short time, Just after getting the car I put in to VW to set the remote fob to open all doors as it use to just open the drivers door.

So i'm thinking this is a new error yet it don't explane why I was getting strange info from that module when i did the scan the other day.
I went in to module 46 and cleared all error and will keep eye.
The door seems to lock and open fine. yet the kids do like to try to open the door before its unlocked at times

Well, I don't see any obvious problems with VCDS-Lite there.

What kind of computer are you using? Make, model, CPU, RAM, version of Windows?

What are the exact results when you do [Options] -> [Test] (with the interface connected to your car)?

I'll add that 46 is notorious for having its weird moments on the Mk4 platform. When it doubt with 46, do a cold boot :)

Thanks, The labtop I am using is a Acer Aspire 5560, AMD A6-3420M with Radeon HD Graphips, 6GB Ram running Windows 7 64bit Home.
I got a pic of the test for you below.

So channel 46 is notorious for problems thanks for the heads up :)
But what do you mean by a cold boot?

Physically disconnect the module or pull the relating fuses, essentially forcing the module to boot up from scratch. As Eric stated, they were known for all sorts of funny behavior back in the day when those cars were "current". :)

Will disconnecting the car battery for 30 sec work, count as a cold boot?

I've just got one more question, using the autoscan report above with the modules it found. Will this work if i added it to the autoscan.txt file

Nice one.
Is there a way to tell the Firmware version installed on the ECU, so can check if there was any dealer updates?

In your case? 06A-906-032-MJ @ 0003, don't think there is an update available for that one.

Your engine code is AUQ, which means it's the 180 PS version.
