You kidding? How do you expect to master anything if you don't use the repair manual?
www.erwin.vw.com

VCDS isn't used to adjust/manipulate parameters......It is used to initiate basic settings/adaptions, and to see if the blocks that are being monitored are within the spec illustrated in the repair manual or in VCDS Captions.
The tool is only as good as its users effort........ not a magic wand nor is the forum.

Basics are to be mastered first and never circumvented.

When I replaced the transmission valve body in our 04 V8 Touareg I only did the gas pedal initialization and never looked back. It shifted perfectly until we traded it recently.

What fluid did you use? Did you run it until the trans cooler valve opened and then recheck the fluid levels?

Pinching a wire while installing the valve body is a distinct possibility. Hopefully that didn't happen or you've got another round trip to make.

Thanks for prompt response from you guys. We just finished the repair. yes the 09G has adaptive to be carry out after... we download the TSB for that very task and connected it to ODIS and now it is ok I just wanted to learn how to do it using VCDS but I know time is money. Thanks a lot.

See if you can translate the procedure you used into VCDS functions for the thread.
