2010 VW Touareg TDI - P068A - Need Help!!

Hello all,

I go out to start my Touareg up and the dash starts flashing. Almost like it's not getting any power. I test the battery, and it's reading 7.5V. Should be around 12V. I hook up cables to get power and I plug in VCDS to scan. Attached you will find the log. The engine runs fine but will not go into a shift position. The radiator fan is on full blast even though the engine isn't even warm yet. When I shut if off the engine stops hard. Overnight the battery loses voltage.

A few things:

- I just put in a brand new alternator about a month ago and a new battery
- I also just put on a new serpentine belt and pulleys.

Lots of no comm with stuff. For any given control module to communicate, it may have the following:

Lets pick one "easy" module to figure out... transmission... I'm going to shortcut a lot of this and just pretend ground(s) and data are to factory design, that leaves us with power.

Fuses SC29 and SC51. SC29 is a Term30 fuse (battery power all the time). SC51 is Term15, powered with "ignition". Verify those fuses are good and get specifically SC51 is powered up via ignition on.

SC51 not getting powered up... ok, that fuse depends on relay J329, the Term15 relay which is controlled by the J518. Oh, look at this:

So the J329 relay depends on fuse SB39, which is a Term30 fuse... how is that fuse?

Thanks so much for the info boss. I will try and look at those fuses. So the SC29 AND SC51 are on the right hand side of the cab? Also, how do I test to see if power is getting to SC51? Take it out, turn on ignition, and then measure voltage across the fuse slot terminals?

The battery is drained of power again so I need to hook up some cables. This is my daily driver and I need to wait until my roommate is home to get power on it.
