A couple of weeks ago I was driving at freeway speed and the serpentine belt mysteriously snapped (broke, not slipped off). This was accompanied by a blue/green ish colored oil (not wiper fluid, it was thick, like oil). I replaced the belt and was on my way. Ever since, the A/C has not worked in my car. I'm not sure if these things are related or not, but I see that there are some hvac related trouble codes so hopefully someone can assist.

Sounds a bit like you have lost your gas the green liquid is likely uv dye (tracer) possibly it has blown the (PRV) pressure relief valve this would blow on excessive discharge pressure , as for the belt snapping the compressor could have locked up or was the system overcharged originally. I would force your Radiator fans on and then have the Refrigerant charge checked.

Not sure what the "blue/green ish colored oil" would be. I don't think A/C compressor oil is that color, but what else could it have been? Have you done a visual inspection of the A/C compressor and all the A/C related plumbing?

Your HVAC module seems to think you have too little pressure in the system. Take a look at what you have in MVB 001.4 (which should be the pressure reading from that sensor) and MVB 002 (Compressor cut-off conditions).

001-4 is 1.0 bar - refrigerant pressure
002-1 is 5.0 current shut-off criteria
i'll look and see if there's anything obvious leaking or broken.

1.0 bar is too low. However, I'm not sure if that reading is "absolute" or "gauge".

5.0 for the shut-off criteria is "Engine not running or less than 300 RPM".

You might want to check both again with the engine at idle and the controls calling for A/C.

I would assume possibly the ac compressor seized/grenaded and broke the the oil that was see could of been dye mixed with very fine grayish fine metal mixed with dye as this vehicle has a clutch type ac compressor and no N280 IIRC, also 1.0 bar is way to low could be empty. However intermittent fault for the high pressure switch. Fault could be intermittent since the ac compressor does not work therefore the fault will not be static. I think we need more information. With engine running turn ac on also make sure econ is off on hvac head. If you hit econ button it turns off and turns on it usually mean there is less than 200grams in the system meaning you have a leak,or a ac component possibly failed and leaks freon like the compressor, however let's not jump to conclusions just yet, one step at a time. Can you post complete MVB value for MVB 001,002 and 003. All 4 fields from each mvb??

yes it is if it had dye inserted in it . Mostly green like color...

Today i went to a garage where they had an A6 2007-8 ish , on which they put a brand new QWP ac compressor and the solenoid valve was defective stating that it's shorted to ground..( imagine that ). They switched it to a brand new Nissens compressor and troubles gone..hmm...brand new compressor defective , how the hell did it pass QC ?
