Will need you to post an Auto-Scan, full and unedited using the English version of VCDS, as the ABS coding is dependent on the configuration of the vehicle so just a VIN isn't enough.

Technically, you could with a good Partslink24 subscription. Find engine code, gearbox code, abs type etc. and assume they are all still as it left the factory. But it's more fun with a full autoscan, of course.

Well..some people think that just registering on a forum will bring them a higher rate of success in finding the answer to their problem. And they do on some forums. However , this here forum is to support /help the VCDS and its users ( legit users ). So there is the difference..on other forums they don t care what diagnostic interface they use ..here is a must to use a legit one.

I think the issue is that even some verified users seem resistant to posting an Auto-Scan when requested, even when it's explained that an Auto-Scan is not just about fault codes but also tells us important information about the configuration of the vehicle.

Sometimes it seems that it's believed that all builds of a given vehicle type are identical, and even that what applies to one vehicle will apply to all others.

I think the complexity of modern vehicles is something that many owners simply do not comprehend, and hence they do not understand our need for real detail of their vehicle in order to help them.

But, if all other users are also lazy they get nothing.
If i have a problem i search in the forum if i find a solution and if i find nothing i start a thread. And if i read min. 1 or 2 other threads i will recognize that other users mostly need a autoscan to see details of my car and can help me.
That tells me that this guys seems to think this forum is something like a RT-Hotline.
But maybe i'm a little oldschool and stupid.
