2011 VW Touareg VR, Can't get grind in procedure started

While trying to perform the grind in procedure for the paring brake I keep getting the message Refused by Control Module and Error Code 7F2F7F. Below is the scan. I watched the video and made sure to follow all the steps. I have mechanically adjusted the air gaps before calibration to 2.251 and 2.253. The Air Gap Left is 1.975 and right is 1.851. Those do not change when I adjust mechanically. An help would be appreciated.

I have been trying to get the VCDS to start the grind in procedure for a 2011 VW Touareg VR6. I keep getting an error code Refused by Control Module 7F 2F 7F. Posted below is m most recent scan.

What happens when you do the Basic Setting:
IDE04509 -- Air gap calibration
Does it end with "finished correctly" or...?

On a personal note, if this fiasco started with pad replacement and the rotor (EPB drum surface) and parking brake shoes were not replaced you probably don't need to complete the grind-in. However, if the EPB shoes or rotors are new it is best to seat those in using the grind-in Output tests after the air gaps are confirmed to be within specification.

I did couple Porsches and i can't remember the specs but i think that 2.xxx measured is not right

once you have that error you cannot escape it anymore until fixed i think

Wiki says: 1.9 to 2.4mm and I'm inclined to believe it.

Sorry it took me so long to respond I had family obligations last night and did not have time until today to follow the instructions.
Wow, what can I say. You guys are the best. Once I followed the case study the EPB worked perfectly. No alarms, calibration needed. I doubt I would have ever thought of that work around on my own. Thanks to all of you for responding. What a relief.
